GG Workshops provides a catalyst for students to begin the transition from home to college.

Over the years we have mentored hundreds of students at all stages of the college process.

Approaching the search with a map – knowing what to do and when to do it – empowers students. GG Workshops clients have the knowledge and confidence to take charge of their college applications. Starting early is a way to prevent stress.

Here’s how we see things at Get Going Workshops: Applying to college is a rite of passage for most American families, and that means everyone surrounding the student will be involved. Unfortunately, this has the potential of creating tension.  In our experience, families with a plan in place have the potential to have the most fun.

At Get Going Workshops we have divided the college process into several small segments which translate into manageable assignments.We offer workshops in the following areas: College Prep Overview, What Juniors Need to Know, Essays That Shine, Parenting the College Applicant, Application Workshops, and more.

All GG Workshops are team taught by Joanne Levy-Prewitt and Kate Augus in an instructive group setting.
